Hundreds of articles about REMEDY programs have been published in the medical, nursing, managerial and lay literature. Though "exposing" the waste of our hospital system, not one article has been critical of REMEDY or the hospitals that practice recovery. Rarely are these articles less than laudatory of the facilities that have chosen to adopt recovery. By publicizing the decision of a hospital to practice ongoing recovery, the facility is showing that its administration is interested in good health care here and abroad, cost containment in medicine, reducing our national solid waste problem, and working in concert with community organizations working for the common good.
